What is Flannel Friday?
Flannel Friday is a way of sharing ideas, encouraging new techniques, and building community among children’s library staff around the country (and even around the world).
Flannel Friday began as an online event in which participating bloggers posted a description of a flannelboard, puppet, or prop storytime activity on their blogs every Friday. All the participating posts were gathered into one spot in a weekly link round-up. These days, bloggers and non-bloggers alike can share their ideas via the Flannel Friday Tumblr! Submissions are still saved and shared with the Facebook Group in a monthly round up.
